The Cluster of Pellan Beaverbrook, Kanata, Ontario

Pellan Crescent and Way were built during 1967/1968 by Bill Teron. This page attempts to document the models and pricing of those houses. Much of Beaverbrook is made up of models similar to these. Initial development was to the South (1966?) off Leacock Drive. The houses on the North side of Beaverbrook Drive (off Varley Drive) are related to these houses, but share more common heritage with each other. This area (known as Beaverbrook) is the first part of Kanata to was built. The idea behind Kanata was to build a modern, planned city with large areas of green space.

Teron built a mix of bungalow and two storey houses (plus two models that were termed one and a half storey). On Pellan Crescent the bungalows are on the two corners. All of Pellan Way is made up of bungalows.

It is my intention to scan the floor plans of each model and provide them and possibly a photograph here. I'm doing this to satisfy my own interest in these houses and to provide a resource for people that are interested in these houses, possibly because they are looking to purchase in this area.
