Possible Title: How not to sail a Tanzer 16 ..

On her ear ..

So .. I have no excuse for how silly this looks .. but I like the picture because it kind of shows how Joan and I sail (not by the book ..).

This photo is taken by John Perrins (a fellow member at LDSC who happened to be in the area as we went by (on Lac Deschenes - part of the Ottawa river)) .. Joan likes to sit on the bow (it is her spot ..) (especially on warm days) while I do all of the work!

Here we are going over a wave at the same time as a puff hits. The boat does not respond well with the weight so far forward (I normally sit farther back when she is up there) and it wants to round up .. the pivot point (clr) is about two feet behind the bow!

Anyway, I like the photo .. please don't send me any pointers on sailing ..

I suppose that this is how we must look most of the time ..
